The owners of a 2018 Jaguar FTY contacted the Coronado Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the city of Coronado.

Coronado Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

At a later time, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar FTY with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the 600 block of E Street in the city of Chula Vista.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar FTY in May 2017 at Jaguar San Diego, San Diego, California.
