The owners of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma Pickup contacted the Springfield Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Springfield Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short time later troopers from the Springfield Barracks of the Massachusetts State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the vehicle to a residential area near the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and recovered the unoccupied stolen vehicle   **Note-This vehicle was stolen and recovered for the second time in eighteen (18) days.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tacoma in January of 2017 at DCH Toyota located in Milford, MA.
