The owners of a 2008 Toyota Tundra contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen while shopping. The keys to the Toyota were taken from the dressing room by two unknown females.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Ten minutes later, officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a parking lot several blocks away from the theft location.

The stolen Toyota was found unoccupied in a business parking lot. The two female suspects were not observed in the area. The stolen Toyota was recovered and processed for evidence. Personal property from the victim was missing. The Toyota was recovered in good condition and returned to the owners at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in October 2016 at Tempe Honda in Arizona.
