This Ford Escape was stolen by an underage relative of the owner without permission. This occurred in the 5700 block of 95th Street SW in Lakewood.

The theft was reported to the Lakewood Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Just eight minutes later, the Lakewood PD officers equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford. They quickly located the Ford in the 9300 block of 58th Avenue SW in Lakewood. The Ford was abandoned and undamaged. The Ford was returned to the owner who did not want to press charges.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Escape in May 2007 at Titus Will Ford in Tacoma, Washington, when it was purchased new.
