The owners of a 2010 Nissan Altima contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their residence.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers with the Denver PD picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Altima with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, these officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 17th and Detroit where one suspect taken into custody for auto theft. The Nissan was secured for return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in 2010 at AutoNation Nissan Southwest in Littleton, Colorado.
