The owners of a Toyota Corolla contacted the Aurora Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers with the Denver Police Department were picking up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, these officers tracked and located the stolen Toyota and arrested one suspect for auto theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in November 2010 at AutoNation Toyota Scion Arapahoe in Englewood, Colorado.
