The owner of a 2011 Infiniti M56 contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner parked his Infiniti at his apartment complex and when he returned to it found it missing. The owner kept a spare key in the glove box.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Infiniti to the 200 block of S.St Augustine Road, where they found it parked in a store parking lot. This Infiniti was recovered in good condition. Officers are reviewing the video from the apartment complex to see if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti M56 in July 2011 at Sewell Village Cadillac in Dallas, Texas.
