The owners of a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home during a residential burglary in the 900 block Fell Street in the Fells Point area of Baltimore City. The Baltimore City PD dispatched an officer from the 2nd district to the location and the officer upon arrival obtained all the vehicle information. After verifying the information provided by the owner, a stolen vehicle report was completed. The Baltimore City PD entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover Range Rover.

A short while later officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Land Rover Range Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Land Rover to the 200 block Spring Court in the Midway East area of Baltimore City. At this location, officers observed the Land Rover parked and unoccupied. After surveillance of the Land Rover for a period of time, police had the vehicle towed for forensic processing at the crime laboratory. The owner was notified by police.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover in January 2015 at Jim Coleman Land Rover in Clarksville, Maryland.
