The owners of a 2015 Nissan Versa contacted the Springfield Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Springfield PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the Springfield PD and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, a trooper from the Massachusetts State Police tracked the Nissan to the intersection of Princeton and Lebanon in Springfield and located and recovered the stolen Nissan.

The LoJack ®System was installed in the Nissan Versa in December 2016 at Balise Hyundai located in Springfield, Massachusetts.
