The owner of a 2008 Cadillac Escalade contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report her vehicle was stolen. The owner advised her Cadillac was stolen from her residence in the area of Blake and Snowvista. The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Shortly after the activation, a deputy with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft. The deputy tracked the Cadillac to a residence in the area of Coors and Raymac.

While deputies were setting up surveillance on the residence they observed the stolen Cadillac moving on the property. Deputies made contact with the occupants and verified the Cadillac was stolen. While on the property deputies observed a partially stripped truck which was identified as stolen and located another stolen truck still intact. All three stolen vehicles were recovered and removed from the property. One subject was arrested for auto theft related charges and another subject will be investigated for insurance fraud.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in July 2008 at Coulter Motors Tempe in Arizona.
