The owner of a 2010 Chrysler 300 contacted the Howard County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 7000 Deepage Drive in Columbia. The Howard County PD Radio dispatched an officer to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Chrysler. When the officer was unable to locate the Chrysler a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler 300.

A short while later, officers from the Howard County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chrysler to the intersection of Stag Horn Path and Carved Stone in the Columbia area of Howard County. At this location officers located the Chrysler parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Chrysler was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Chrysler 300 in December 2010 at Al Hendrickson Toyota in Coconut Creek, Florida.
