The owner of a 2015 Nissan Altima contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 2400 Matapan Court in the Hanover area of Anne Arundel County. The Anne Arundel County PD Radio dispatched an officer to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Nissan. When the officer was unable to locate the Nissan a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Altima.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan Altima with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 4300 Seminole Avenue in the Rognel Heights area of Baltimore City. At this location officers located the Nissan parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Nissan was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Nissan Altima in January 2016 at Tischer Nissan in Laurel, Maryland.
