The owners of a 2017 Nissan Rogue contacted the California Highway Patrol to report that their vehicle was stolen. The Nissan was parked in the victim’s driveway and when the victim got up to go to work he discovered it had been stolen sometime during the night.

The CHP verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Less than 10 minutes later officers from the CHP Air Operations, H-16, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the 1200 block of Rivera Dr in the city of Redding. The officers observed the Nissan parked and abandoned on the street.

The victim was contacted and responded to get his now recovered Nissan.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Rogue in June 2017 at Crown Motors in Redding, California.
