The owner of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the Escondido Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Escondido.

The Escondido PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within a short time, officers from the Escondido PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda near the 200 block of Escondido Blvd in Escondido.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in November 2012 at Buena Park Honda in California.
