The owners of a 1993 Acura Integra contacted the Santa Paula Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen by an unknown suspect.  Officers from the Santa Paula PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura Integra.

A short while later officers from the Simi Valley Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the Acura from the area of Alamo St and Erringer Road when they observed it west on Cochran St.  The officers caught up to the Acura and made a felony traffic stop taking the suspect into custody without further incident or damage to the vehicle.  The male occupant was booked for the theft of the Acura into the Ventura County Jail.  The Acura was stored and later released to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura Integra in December 1993 via Direct Sales in Los Angeles, California.
