The owners of a 2012 Ford F150 contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was just stolen from their driveway.  The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

Less than fifteen (15) minutes later the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the area of 8800 Gustine to a large apartment complex where the pickup was parked and abandoned. The driver’s side door lock and steering column were broken and the personal property inside the Ford was missing. The Ford was taken to the police impound lot for printing and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in March 2012 at Lone Star Ford in Houston, Texas.
