The owner of a 2014 Subaru Impreza contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 600 St Dunstans Road in the Homeland area of Baltimore City.  The Baltimore City PD Radio dispatched an officer from the 5th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Subaru. When the officer was unable to locate the Subaru a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru Impreza.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Subaru Impreza with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Subaru to the area of 4100 Patterson Avenue in the Rogers Station area of Baltimore City. At this location officers observed the Subaru being operated by the theft suspect. A felony vehicle stop was performed by police and the driver arrested. The undamaged Subaru was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Subaru Impreza in October 2014 at Auto Nation in Cockeysville, Maryland.
