Recovered Chevrolet Trax

The owner of a 2017 Chevrolet Trax called the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen. The Chevrolet was stolen from the owner’s apartment complex in the area of Girard and Gibson. The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Trax.

Shortly after the activation, the Albuquerque PD Auto Theft Detectives picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol and undercover vehicles. The Chevrolet was tracked to a residential neighborhood in the area of San Mateo and Kathryn. The Chevrolet was parked, locked and unoccupied along the curb. The owner was notified of the recovery and will be reunited with their Chevrolet.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Trax in December 2016 at Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
