The owner of this Ford C-Max Hybrid parked the car in an off-site parking facility near the Seattle-Tacoma Airport.  Thieves entered the facility and were in process of stealing the Ford when the attendants at the lot saw them.  They left the lot a short time later.  The theft was immediately reported to the SeaTac Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Less than forty minutes later, agencies south of Seattle picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford.  The Washington State Patrol troopers and a King County Sheriff’s Office deputy followed the directional and audible cues from the Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in their patrol cars and located the Ford at South 131st Street and 42nd Avenue South.  The Ford was abandoned and apparently not damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Ford C-Max in January 2013 at AutoNation Ford in Torrance, California.
