A resident of Camas, Washington, discovered his Toyota Corolla was stolen from his residence and reported it to the Camas Police Department  who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Later that evening, officers from the Fairview Police Department, Oregon, equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota.  They quickly located the Toyota to the 21900 block of NE Halsey Street.  The suspect driver was booked into jail for the vehicle theft.  The Toyota was not damaged other than a key that was stuck in the ignition.  The current owner was not aware his Toyota was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in December 2002 at Power Toyota in Irvine, California.
