The owners of a 2005 Honda Accord contacted the Show Low Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Show Low.

The Show Low PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later, troopers from the Arizona Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. The trooper acquired the signal in south Phoenix, approximately 180 miles from Show Low. The troopers lost the signal in the area of Interstate 17 and 7th Street and it was later picked up again approximately 30 miles north by other troopers in Glendale. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Honda to the area of Loop 101 and 75th Avenue.

The troopers located the stolen Honda occupied and conducted a felony stop on the vehicle. Two suspects were detained without incident. Both suspects were arrested and booked for vehicle theft. The Honda was recovered in good condition and processed for evidence. The Honda was impounded for safe keeping and later released to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in May 2005 at Tempe Honda in Arizona.
