The owner of a 2007 Toyota Camry contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Fallbrook.

The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

At a later time, deputies from the San Diego County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Toyota to the 500 block of Ranger Road in the city of Fallbrook. A traffic stop was made; one suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in September 2006 at Toyota of Temecula in California
