The owner of a 2013 Toyota Rav4 called the Bridgewater Police Department to report that sometime during the night, their vehicle was taken from their driveway on Field Street in the Township of Bridgewater.

The Bridgewater PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Rav4.

A short while later, officers from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to Union Ave in Bound Brook, where the vehicle was located parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Toyota Rav4 in November 2013 at Crystal Motors in Greenbrook, New Jersey.
