The owners of a 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago contacted the Stafford Police Department and filed a stolen report of their vehicle.  The Stafford PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lamborghini.

A short while later troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lamborghini with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the signal to a residential area in Sugarland.  The trooper located the strongest signal emitting from one of the house’s garage. The trooper made contact with the owner who granted consent to search of the garage. The Lamborghini was removed from the garage and positively identified as the stolen Lamborghini. The owner advised a friend had asked him to store the Lamborghini in his garage for a while and not to drive it. The Lamborghini was impounded pending release to the owner. The infomation obtained from the homeowner was turned over to the Stafford PD investigators for further investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lamborghini Murcielago in January 2016 at Global Motorcars of Houston in Stafford, Texas.
