This Nissan Xterra was stolen by a person known to the owner but without permission.  It was taken from the 1300 block of Tacoma Avenue South.

The theft was reported to the Tacoma Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Just seventeen minutes later, a Tacoma PD officer equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) received the silent LoJack signal transmitting from the stolen Nissan.  The officer located the Nissan at an abandoned

residence at South 37th and South “K” Street.  The Nissan was not occupied but the driver was seen entering a shed on the property.  She was ordered to come out and was taken into custody.  The suspect was booked into jail for the vehicle theft and one outstanding arrest warrant.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Xterra in March 2006 at Trophy Nissan in Mesquite, Texas.
