The owners of a Lexus GS300 contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Palmdale.

The Los Angeles County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Within 31 minutes, officers from the El Cajon Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to the 8800 block of Ellsworth Ave in El Cajon.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus GS300 in December 2004 at Santa Monica Lexus in California
