The owner of a 2007 Jaguar STY contacted the Chula Vista Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Chula Vista.

The Chula Vista PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

Within 34 minutes, officers from the Chula Vista PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to the area of Canoe Creek Ave in the city of Chula Vista.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar STY in April 2009 at Jaguar Aston Martin Kearny Mesa in San Diego, California.
