The owner of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within 4 minutes, officers from the National City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the 1400 block of South Euclid Street in the National City.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Pathfinder in September 2010 at Mossy Nissan in National City, California.
