The owners of a 2006 Nissan 350Z contacted the Tempe Police Department to report that their apartment had been burglarized and their vehicle was stolen with the keys from the parking lot of the complex.

The Tempe PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to a neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Baseline Road.

The officers from the Phoenix PD located the stolen Nissan unoccupied on a side street next to a community park.  No suspects were observed in the area.  The Nissan was recovered in good condition and processed for evidence.  The Nissan was impounded for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan 350Z in September 2005 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
