The owners of a Porsche Cayenne contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their home in Evergreen.

A deputy sheriff verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Porsche.

Less than 12-minutes later several law enforcement agencies (Lakewood PD, Jefferson County SO and Denver PD) were picking up the silent LoJack signal emitting from the stolen Porsche with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs).  These PTCs are installed in police patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, officers with the Denver PD tracked the Porsche to the area of the 3500 block of South Lowell Boulevard.  There they contacted the Porsche and arrested the driver of the stolen Porsche.  The Cayenne was recovered undamaged and was later returned to the very happy and surprised owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Porsche Cayenne in April 2004 at North Scottsdale Porsche in Arizona at the request of a previous owner of the vehicle.
