For the second time in just over a month, the owner of a Honda Civic had her car stolen.  This time it was stolen from the approximate location of the 9100 block of East Colfax Avenue in Aurora.  The prior theft had been from an address in Thornton.

An Aurora Police Department officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Just a short time later the silent LoJack signal was picked up with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer.

PTC’s are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft to provide for the quick and safe recovery of stolen vehicles by law enforcement.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the stolen Honda was quickly tracked and located at a motel in the 8400 block of East Colfax in Denver.

The Honda was unoccupied.

For the second time in just a few weeks this owner had her Honda returned to her, again undamaged, due to the LoJack having been installed.

The LoJack® System had been installed in the Honda Civic in July 2005 at Bell Honda in Phoenix, Arizona, at the request of a previous owner.
