The owner of a 1994 Saturn SL2 called the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

Shortly after the activation, officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Saturn to the area of Comanche and Morningside.  Officers located the Saturn parked on the side of a residence unoccupied.  Officers contacted the occupants of the residence and the investigation is on-going.

The Saturn was recovered from the scene and will be released back to the current owner.  The current owner did not know LoJack was installed in their vehicle over two decades ago by a previous owner, and was thankful to have their car returned.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Saturn SL2 in September 1995 via Direct Customer Sales in Westwood, Massachusetts.
