The owner of a 2003 Ford F450 contacted the Howard County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 7000 Try Hill Drive in Elkridge.  The Howard County PD Radio dispatched an officer to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Ford F450. When the officer was unable to locate the Ford a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later, detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the detectives tracked the Ford to the rear alley of 2500 Keyworth Avenue in the northwestern area of Baltimore City.  At this location officers located the Ford parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Ford was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Ford F450 in August 2013 at Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville, Maryland.
