The owner of a 2004 Nissan Maxima called the Egg Harbor Township Police Department to report that someone took their vehicle from the driveway in Egg Harbor Township.

The Egg Harbor Township PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Maxima.

A short while later, officers from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Nissan to the City of Millville where the Nissan was located in the rear yard of a residence. The Nissan was recovered; the owner of the property was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. The Egg Harbor Township PD is conducting a follow up investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Nissan Maxima in November 2013 at Star Nissan in Bayside, New York.
