The owners of a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their residence.  The owners lost a set of keys and believed that the Nissan was probably stolen with the key.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Nissan to a neighborhood near 7th Avenue and Broadway Avenue in Phoenix.

The Nissan was located unoccupied on a side street in the neighborhood.  No suspects were observed near the Nissan or in the area.  The stolen Nissan was recovered and processed for evidence.  The Nissan was returned to the owner in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Pathfinder in August 2006 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
