The owner of a 2003 Honda Pilot contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 1300 W North Avenue in Baltimore City.  The Baltimore City PD Radio dispatched an officer from the 7th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Honda Pilot. When the officer was unable to locate the Honda a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Pilot.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Pilot with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Honda to the area of 2000 Wilhelm Street in the western area of Baltimore City. At this location officers located the Honda parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Honda was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Honda Pilot in March 2006 at Anderson Honda in Cockeysville, Maryland.
