The owners of a 2010 Toyota Sienna contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.   The owners had parked the Toyota in the driveway of their residence in the 7700 block of Bentonite and accidentally leaving it unlocked and went inside.  The Toyota had a spare key in the glove box.  When the owners came back out they found it missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

10 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of an apartment complex where they located the Toyota unoccupied.  The Toyota was recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Sienna in August of 2010 at Centennial Toyota, Las Vegas, Nevada.
