The owner of a 2009 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his motorcycle was stolen.  The owner reported that he was away from his residence for a time and when he came home he found that his residence had been burglarized and the motorcycle, which had the key in it, had been stolen, as well as numerous other things.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki.

A short while later officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department and troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers and troopers tracked the Suzuki to a garage at a residence in the 6300 block of Beige Bluff in North Las Vegas.  The officers notified the VIPER task force who responded and verified that the signal was coming from a specific garage.  The VIPER Team then applied for and received a Search Warrant for the address where the Suzuki was hidden.  After the SWAT Team served the Search Warrant, the Suzuki was recovered in perfect condition.  There were two individuals in the residence where the Suzuki has been hidden.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa in August 2011 at Bert’s Mega Mall in Covina, California.
