The owners of a Toyota FJ Cruiser contacted the Aurora Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their home in Arvada.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Less than two hours later officers with the Lakewood Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, these officers tracked the Toyota to the area of 15th Place and Quail Street where they located the vehicle and arrested one suspect.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota FJ Cruiser in July 2006 at Crystal Motors in Green Brook, New Jersey, at the request of a previous owner.
