The owner of a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner left his Chevrolet in his driveway running and unattended.  When he returned, he found his Chevrolet missing.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Forty minutes later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet Tahoe with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Chevrolet Tahoe to the 400 block of Hartsdale Ave where they observed it drive into an apartment parking lot and park.  Officers were able to stop the driver before he walked away.  The driver admitted he knew the Tahoe was stolen and was arrested. This Tahoe was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Tahoe in June 2015 at Toyota of Richardson in Texas.
