The owners of 2008 Toyota Camry contacted the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from her home during the night and when she came out to go to work it was missing.

The Clayton County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later the Clayton County Police Helicopter unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Toyota to an abandoned house where it was found abandoned and in good condition.  The Toyota was towed to a local towing service until the owner could be notified of the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Toyota Camry in January 2008 at Atlanta Toyota in Georgia.
