LoJack® System Helps New Jersey State Police Recover a Stolen 2012 Toyota Camry

The owner of a 2012 Toyota Camry called the Trenton Police Department to report that she had left her vehicle running in her driveway to warm up on West Hanover Street in the City of Trenton and someone stolen her vehicle.

The Trenton PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Camry.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Toyota to a parking lot on Rutgers Street, in the City of Trenton. The Toyota was located parked and unoccupied. A surveillance was established; a suspect was identified and taken into custody. The Toyota was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Toyota Camry in December 2012 at Toyota of Turnersville in New Jersey.
