The owners of a (2007 Honda CRV) contacted the La Habra Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda CRV.

Within 8 minutes an officer from Montebello PD had just pulled out of his station parking lot when he picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda CRV with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the moving vehicle to for approximately 10 minutes and located it parked on a dead end at Store St and Ferguson Dr. A back up officer responded at which time they took the suspect into custody without further incident.  Apparently the suspect had been listening to very loud music and did not hear the officers approaching. According to the officer, the suspect told him his cousin gave him the car. The suspect was arrested and later booked for the theft.  Case referred to Detectives for follow up.

The LoJack® System was installed in the (Honda CRV) in November 2007 at Community Honda, Whittier CA.
