The owner of a 2013 Mercedes C250 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen.   The owner had a few friends over to his apartment for a party and those friends also brought people over that he didn’t know.  When the party was over and everybody left the owner found that his keys were missing so he went out to the parking lot to find that his Mercedes was also missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex in the 7900 block of West Badura Ave.  The Mercedes was unoccupied and unharmed.  The Mercedes was recovered and returned back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes C250 in October of 2015 at Brickell Luxury Motors, Miami, Florida.
