The owners of a 2006 Ford F250 contacted the Boerne Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence sometime during the previous night.  The Boerne PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Less than ten (10) minutes after the vehicle information was entered into the stolen vehicle computer officers from the San Antonio Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers overtook the pickup travelling on a major roadway in San Antonio. Officers performed a felony stop of the Ford, arrested the driver and one passenger without incidence. Officers filed Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle charges on the driver and possession of controlled substance on the passenger.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in December 2006 via Direct Customer in Dallas, Texas.
