The owners of a 2002 Saturn SL contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence after leaving the keys in the vehicle.

The Phoenix Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

Ten minutes later, officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of Central Avenue and Southern Avenue.

The officers located the vehicle in the neighborhood approximately four miles from where it was stolen from.  One male suspect was arrested without incident.  The vehicle was recovered in good condition and returned to the owners.   The suspect was booked and charged with the vehicle theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Saturn SL in July 2007 at Saturn – Arrowhead, Peoria, Arizona.
