The owner of the Chrysler Town & Country parked it on the street where he lives as he usually parks it. When he came out the next day for the van he found it missing. This was in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, confines of the 52 precinct New York Police Department. He immediately called the NYPD of the 52 precinct and when the police responded they took a written report. The NYPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

A short while later the silent LoJack signal was picked up by officers of the 50 precinct NYPD, this was in the Bronx. They tracked the signal through various streets in the Bronx Lebanon Hospital section; eventually the signal led them to a residential area. The officers observed the Chrysler on a residential street; the van was apparently unoccupied so they decided to stake it out. After a short while when no one showed up for the van they took it into custody. The Chrysler was recovered without any damage.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Chrysler was recovered so quickly especially without any damage. Stating that he was happy that his Chrysler was equipped with the LoJack® System when he purchased it.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country in May 2015 at Enterprise in New Rochelle, New York.
