The
owners of a 2009 Toyota Corolla contacted the Houston Police Department
Houston to report that their vehicle
was stolen from her driveway by two males banishing hand guns. The two suspects
pushed the owner away and drove away in the vehicle. Houston Police verified
the theft and entered the vehicle information
into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.
A short while later officers from Houston
Police Department Houston, TX picked
up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police
Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues
from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex off of
8400 Cullen Blvd. where they located the vehicle parked and abandoned in the
parking lot. The vehicle was processed and released to the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in May 2009 at Mike Calvert Toyota, HOUSTON, TX.
