LoJack® System Helps Washington State Patrol Recover a Lexus Stolen From Redmond

This Lexus was stolen during the night from the owner’s residence located in the 8500 block of 139th Avenue NE in Redmond.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Redmond Police Department.  They verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Just eight minutes later, a Washington State trooper received the silent signal from the stolen Lexus on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.   A Washington State Patrol Cessna, also equipped with a PTC, received the signal while flying over King County.  Following directional and audible cues they located the car in the 20200 block of State Route 527 in an apartment complex.  It was abandoned
