The owner of a 2016 Chevrolet contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen.  The owner had sent several demand letters for his former fiancé to return the Chevrolet but she refused.  LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Only 22 minutes later deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Chevrolet to a town home parking lot.  Neighbors of the town home pointed out the residence of the driver.  Deputies made contact with the named suspect and arrested her.  The undamaged Chevrolet was recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Camaro in March 2016 at Penske Chevrolet, Cerritos CA.
